Job Summary
The Code is looking for instructors to teach HTML/CSS & JavaScript courses across New York City. The instructor implements our class curriculum and educational program.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage in high-quality instruction in a diverse, educational environment.
- Integrate arts into technology to engage students in accomplishing their goals.
- Develop project based assignments that measures competency and allows students to compete with peers to meet specific goals.
Skills
- Hands on experience with markup languages
- Expertise with CSS, HTML, and Web Design. Expertise in JavaScript is a plus.
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
- Knowledge of SEO principles
- An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
- Background Checks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching students grades 6-12
- Front End developer certification, College Degree or relevant instructional certifications (i.e. Coding Certifications)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning theory, life skills and college and career readiness curricula for high school students
