We’re currently searching for an Supervisor-Enrollment Solutions to join our dynamic team at USAble Life in Little Rock, Arkansas.
USAble Life’s Enrollment Solutions team provides a wide array of services to employers, employees, and brokers, streamlining and simplifying the entire process from setting up the group’s annual enrollment platform to the on-going exchange of eligibility data with USAble Life and other insurance carriers.
The Supervisor-Enrollment Solutions will oversee and coordinate all aspects of USAble Life’s internal enrollment solutions process. Working with enrollment platform and data exchange specialists as well as internal USAble Life service teams, they ensure the enrollment solution meets the group’s benefits offering and administration rules. They oversee the service processes and appropriate use of technology tools by which eligibility information is delivered timely to insurance carriers and accurately reflects the employees' enrollment choices and costs.
She/he will play a critical role in helping to shape Enrollment Solutions as a growing part of USAble Life's and its Blue Partners' competitive edge in the market.
The successful supervision of all aspects of the enrollment and eligibility management process will ensure that USAble Life remains the insurance carrier of choice for our distribution partners and increases participation in the group's benefit offerings as well as USAble Life’s insurance products.
The Supervisor-Enrollment Solutions will supervise a team of 6-8 people.
Enrollment Case Management: Works with Sales and Client Management Teams to schedule and properly staff all enrollment requests. Ensures all timelines are met from receipt of set up information, to the availability of the enrollment application's readiness for employee enrollment, to the delivery of enrollment eligibility information to carriers and payroll systems. Successfully manages the team's work whereby employees have access to their elected insurance plans, and the group's payroll processing and billing accurately reflects election choices. Regularly tracks the progress of all projects, intervenes as necessary to find solutions, or restructures plans when important delivery dates are at risk.
Electronic Data Interchange Services Management: Tracks the progress of all EDI implementations and supports the EDI specialist in achieving testing goals and production deadlines; ensures data files are received and updated based on agreements with clients. Oversees regular delivery of EDI files, ensures exceptions are processed or addressed with the sender and solves for the systemic causes of failure in the overall EDI process.
QA review: Manages workload distribution and adjusts assignments as needed. Conducts QA reviews to 1.) ascertain the application set up matches the group's benefits and administrative rules, and that enrollments can be processed accurately, 2.) uses QA reviews to determine each team member's skill levels with an eye to training and development.
Team Development: Through informal interactions with the team and formal meetings and QA review, assesses the needs of each team member and creates training and career developments plans. Conducts regular 1-1 meetings to review performance. Implements and regularly maintains formal and informal recognition programs.
Works closely with the Enrollment Solutions Leader to suggest new processes or technology enhancements to improve overall quality of processes. Leads or participates in initiatives which are the outcome of these reviews.
Strong knowledge of the entire Employee Benefits process from Enrollment to Payroll
Excellent analytical skills: able to understand and test the relationship between benefits administration rules, application set up, enrollment outcomes and data output
Strong benefits data analysis skills: understands the integration of benefit administration rules, source data and enrollment process outcomes ensuring the accuracy of the set up and data processing aspects of Enrollment Solutions
Proficient work managerial skills: knows how to track multiple smaller and independent client facing projects and determine staffing required.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills which demonstrate the ability to provide options in case of complex or changing needs while at the same time clearly articulating risks associated with timelines, requirement delays or data discrepancies.
Superb people management skills especially in coaching, developing training plans to improve skills, and growing employees into higher technical subject matter experts or leadership roles.
Plays a variety of roles in a fast paced environment. Knows how to adjust to changing client circumstances and to manage resources with the appropriate flexibility.
Experience with configuring rules based technology solutions and using data management tools to analyze, structure, deliver or receive data electronically.
Advanced knowledge of Excel. Intermediate knowledge of other MS Office business writing tools like Word and Outlook. Basic knowledge of PowerPoint, Visio or comparative applications.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
3-5 years experience in Employee Benefits as a Project Manager, Client Manager, Business Analyst, Senior EDI, or Application Configuration specialist.
Or equivalent military experience.
Bachelors Degree in a technical field or certificate in a field related to data analysis.
2 years supervisor experience leading a team of 5-10 employees in an implementation or enrollment solutions setting.
