BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
As a member of the FTD Solutions Team, you will be primarily responsible for the development of flow and chemistry models for industrial facilities (digital twin.) These models will be built in FTD's proprietary software platform called the Water Management Application (WMA). You will collaborate with the project engineer and software deployment team leads in the context of chemical engineering service projects. Based on these projects and experiences, you will source ideas for software improvements, provide review and quality control of models developed by others, and help build systems related to the productive execution of the projects and digital twin development.
This position reports directly to the CS Team Manager.

Collaborate with the FTD Project Engineers and other interns.

Learn about the WMA software, FTD standards, and industry standards.

Support the development of WMA digital twins and site water management schemes in the FTD WMA platform.

Organize and review data.

Perform quality control reviews of models created by others.

Develop ideas for software improvements

Support software development: bug fixes, workflow, new functionalities

Support development of FTD Solutions systems and templates
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Currently pursuing a B.S. in chemical or environmental engineering, or equivalent education from an ABET- accredited program.

LOCATION
You will work remotely while collaborating with other engineers across the US. While not required, the ideal candidate will live in Pittsburgh, PA or San Francisco, CA metro areas, to allow face-to-face visits as necessary.
