Position Summary
Probi is excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the North American Sales Director. This role is pivotal in driving our company's growth and profitability in the North American market. The North American Sales Director will lead our sales efforts and manage the sales and customer service teams across North America. This position is critical in ensuring our continued growth and will work closely with other functions to execute strategic priorities. The Sales Director will play a key role in negotiations, establishing new value-added relationships, and promoting our product portfolio to both new and established customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve regional revenue and EBITDA targets through top-line growth and margin improvement.
- Develop short and medium-term go-to-market plans to expand the customer portfolio.
- Implement North American pricing strategies aligned with global goals.
- Build, manage, and optimize the sales organization by developing and mentoring the sales team.
- Align regional go-to-market activities with stakeholders and collaborate with various functions and regions (APAC, EMEA).
- Demonstrate agility in adapting strategies based on market dynamics.
- Assess market opportunities and allocate resources (budget, people, process) accordingly.
- Develop and manage annual sales and expense budgets.
- Participate as a senior leader in key business meetings and decision-making processes.
- Implement a customer segmentation structure to ensure optimal ROI from resource deployment.

- Must be able to work in various conditions: noise, dust, heavy lifting, repetitive motion, and standing for long periods.

- Perform other projects/duties as assigned.
Work Experience and Education Requirements
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience in a related field.
- 6+ years of direct-line people leadership.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in biology, chemistry, nutrition, food technology, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Prior experience in dietary supplements, food/nutritional ingredients, and/or flavors/fragrances.
- Results-driven leader with a strategic mindset.
- Innovative and creative thinker with strong execution skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Negotiation skills and contracting experience required.
- Commercial understanding of intellectual property preferred.
- Experience in both large and small organizations is a plus.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (Spanish or Portuguese is desirable).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel and PowerPoint) and Salesforce.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
