Job Title: Manager - Customer Collections
Lead a team of Collections Specialists who manage a large portfolio of accounts ranging from small local customers to large international accounts. Coordinate collection efforts amongst cross functional teams, including sales, management, operations and customers. The position manages credit and collection for several entities in North America.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for motivating a team of 20+ Collections Specialists to meet/exceed goals;
Overseeing that all departmental goals and objectives are met/exceeded; provide regular reports that monitor productivity and performance;
Conduct meetings with team members and key stakeholders to ensure speedy resolution of collection issues;
Constantly looking for ways to improve upon any processes or methods within the department;
Recruiting and training new employees and providing support to all team members;
Purpose solutions to complex collection problems;
Navigate and document customers payment practices, including third-party audit firms to ensure approval and funding of payments;
Align resources within the team to meet departmental demands;
Manage customer accounts assigned to collection agency;
Coordinate Credit Insurance and Factoring reporting.
Bachelor’s Degree, ideally Finance or Business
5 years B2B collections, 3 years management experience
Knowledge of large ERP systems such as SAP
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Ability to organize and prioritize
