The Non-Certified Technician under general direction, operates x-ray equipment to make limited routine radiographs of designated body regions as ordered by the Physician and performs Medical Assistant duties as requested. The Non-Certified Technician prepares patients and processes radiographic images. The Non-Certified Technician adheres to departmental time, attendance and tardiness guidelines and ensures room is prepped and ready with proper supplies. The Non-Certified Technician identifies equipment malfunctions and reports it to appropriate personnel for timely repair. The Non-Certified Technician ensures patient has been properly screened prior to procedure and utilizes technical knowledge and skills to perform procedures accurately and in a timely manner. The Non-Certified Technician promotes harmonious relationships by dealing courteously with co-workers, patients and staff.
The ideal candidate for the Non-Certified Technician role will be adaptable and cooperate with changes in assignments and schedules. The ideal candidate for the Non-Certified Technician role will ensure safety of patients, staff and visitors in assigned area by removing dangerous or potentially dangerous barriers or objects or notifies proper personnel of unfavorable conditions.
