SUMMARY:
The Government Guaranteed Lending Business Development Officer develops new relationships and services existing Bank relationships by offering Government Guaranteed lending solutions that meet all applicable regulations and guidelines. Structures loan proposals, works with customers to gather financial documents, and prepares credit file and preliminary analysis for submission to the Senior Credit Officer.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

60% The Government Guaranteed Lending BDO cultivates relationships, partnering with bankers, customers, and external centers of influence to identify and meet the needs of prospects seeking access to capital.
10% Create and execute an annual business plan within a defined territory to grow the SBA client portfolio through new loan origination, with focus on profitable revenue growth and the overall financial plan for the business.
30% Structures loan proposals, works with customers to gather financial documents and prepares credit file and preliminary analysis for submission to the Senior Credit Officer. Ensures government guaranteed loans meet all applicable regulations and guidelines to secure the government's guarantee and mitigate exposure for the Bank.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of business lending experience including a minimum of 3 years of Government Guaranteed lending or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Knowledge and understanding of underwriting or evaluating commercial credit.

Thorough understanding of SBA regulations and guidelines as well as other Government Guaranteed loan requirements.

Established network of referral sources in the local market.
