The RN Corporate Educator acts as the lead for the co-ordination and management of all educational Support for the Clinical staff. He or she will provide expertise in clinical nursing skills and knowledge application includes software development. The Corporate RN Educator acts as a clinical expert for nursing staff and provides education and mentoring in the development of clinical skills and capabilities. The Corporate RN Educator assesses the clinical education needs of the staff and plans, develops, implements and evaluates educational programs to meet those needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
A minimum of 3 years full-time Long Term Care experience.
Excellence in clinical nursing skills is required. Experience in Gerontology preferred.
Management/supervisory experience is preferred.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
Provides nursing staff with clinical and educational support and guidance.
Collaborate with Clinical Management Team to identify specific clinical educational needs.
Provide education through demonstration and return demonstration for specific skills/procedures.
Assists in the coordination of the completion of mandatory in-service education according to State and Federal regulation.
Collaborates with regional, corporate resources to meet the clinical education needs of the nursing staff.
Assists in the planning, development and direction of the orientation program for all nursing employees.
Oversees and coordinates the process and education for all clinical practice programs.
Performs other duties as requested.
Maintains compliance with requirements in compliance program/plan.
