This position requires a self-starter with attention to detail that can work independently. Physical aspects of this job require you to work in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, climbing stairs and ladders, standing and walking on concrete. May lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. The ideal candidate will have basic typing and organization skills and lite mechanical skills, with the ability to understand basic regulatory requirements for Environmental Health and Safety.
Pay range starts at $25.20 depending on Experience.

Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Ability to work in a team environment focusing on meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards
- Resolve day to day issues to meet production, safety, shipping and quality goals.
- Hazardous waste & non-hazardous waste inspection and area management facility wide.
- SPCC inspection
- Oil spill clean-up stations, Eye wash ; verify supply and inspect.
- Maintain chemical additives for wastewater lines.
- Puncture empty aerosol cans and maintain can puncturing unit.
- Removing old signage, putting up new signage, paint fire extinguisher columns
- Act as First Responder during Plant emergencies.
- Identify opportunities for improvement with suggestions and recommendations for remedy
- Know, understand, and follow plant safety rules, policies and procedures
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Participate in Lean Transformation efforts including safety initiatives
- Assist others as needed
- Maintain a clean work area including running floor scrubber route.
- Complete and file paperwork accurately and timely as needed and required.
- Other duties as assigned by lead, supervisor and/or manager
- Perform all duties in the spirit of Our Philosophy and in accordance to legal, ethical and contractual practices
Critical Skills & Experiences
- Basic knowledge of OSHA 10
- Must be forklift certified or have the ability to be forklift certified

- Strong basic math skills, including the ability to understand and convert both metric and English measurements

- Minimum 2 years of prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- 1st Aid/CPR Training & Emergency Response Training
