Essential functions include, but not limited to:
*Read and understand the estimate and technical repair documents.
*Disassemble and identify all parts and processes required to properly repair the customer’s vehicle.
*Complete repairs per estimate and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
*Set up, measure, and repair frame and unibody damages.
*Protect the customer’s vehicle at all times during the repair process.
*Communicate with management on any supplemental damages, problems, or situations which may affect the quality or cause a delay in the repair process.
*Repair damaged vehicle back to pre-accident condition.
*Check all parts to ensure they are correct and the undamaged parts are received.
*Deliver defect free work to the next department.
*Maintain and operate tools and equipment in a proper and safe manner.
*Maintain and wear required safety and personal protective equipment as required.
*Keep all work areas clean and organized.
*Communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language.
*Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and maneuver effectively around body shop.
*Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and/or twist frequently.
*Must be able to work in a body shop environment which is subject to temperature changes not easily controlled by heating or air conditioning.
*Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
*High school diploma or GED preferred; advanced education a plus.
*Three (3) years’ experience in automotive repair preferred.
*ICAR or ASE Certification a plus.
*Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
*Must be motivated and dependable.
*Must have a valid driver’s license.
*Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test, MVR check, and background check.
