Full Job Description
Serve as a Data Analytics and Visualization Developer and work with senior government stakeholders to comprehend analytic needs, analyze data to develop interpretable and metrics, identify gaps, and apply advanced data visualization techniques to develop actionable and interactive dashboards to drive data-driven decision-making. Gather business requirements to design, develop, and deliver interactive and innovative data visualizations using Tableau technologies and analyze metric requirements, visualization capabilities, and data availability to determine appropriateness. Work with the data engineering team to share data model and query needs to support analytic solutions and perform quality control procedures to ensure information accuracy in the data products.
2+ years of experience with data visualization using Tableau
Experience with developing user interfaces or dashboards, including metrics, filters, charts, graphs, and tables
Experience in designing rich graphic visualizations with modular design of dashboards in Tableau
Experience with SQL to extract data from systems
Knowledge in various reporting objects, including facts, attributes, hierarchies, filters, calculated fields, sets, groups, or parameters in Tableau
Knowledge of chart types to use to highlight patterns in the data
Ability to gather data, be analytical, and problem solve
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree
Experience with Tableau Catalog, Tableau Prep Builder, and Tableau Prep Conductor is a plus
Knowledge of Tableau best practices in performance tuning and user-centric design
