The company has provided signage solutions, staffing and project management for numerous events on six (6) continents , and in more than thirty countries around the world.

Position Summary:

The Senior Vice President of Operations has overall responsibility for the successful planning and execution of all large-scale, complex event-related projects for TGI’s clients. This position provides leadership and direction to support the departmental operations for project management, production, inventory, installation and graphics.The Senior Vice President of Operations will partner with executive leadership and operational management to align business goals and strategy to positively impact TGI’s bottom line and in support of our client’s needs.

Event projects include: high profile matches, meetings, tournaments, championships, tours and complex marketing activations. The Senior Vice President of Operations will ensure successful events from beginning to end and ensure the client’s objectives are completed flawlessly and profitably.This position will have a thorough understanding of the production process, our suppliers’ capabilities, installation methods, the willingness to travel (domestic and international) and the ability to provide leadership and support across several departments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Aligns departmental structure and function for all operational units in support of business forecast/demands.
  • Employs best practices to create and share thorough and effective event planning and implementation.
  • Formulates and ensures adherence to policies and strategic plans for growth.
  • Develops, monitors and achieves annual budget forecasts for all operational departments. Monitors revenue and expenses and ensures adherence to budget.
  • Oversees the management of daily operations, personnel and budgets for project management, installation, art and warehouse operations in support of company growth.
  • Ensures the efficient deployment of all personnel and resources.
  • Monitors and ensures client satisfaction between TGI and the client / venue for duration of event.
  • Maximizes new client engagement and works with the leadership team to develop plans to meet future needs.
  • Monitors revenue margins for worker productivity, and develops guidelines for performance management, staff advancement and training.
  • Responsible for maintaining profit margins, according to established objectives, and develops internal control systems to ensure accountability.
  • Responsible for the company’s risk management programs and develops procedures and strategies to mitigate risk exposure at internal facilities and onsite venue locations.
  • Partners with operational managers and outside resources (as needed) to ensure safety compliance and safe work practices are documented and implemented as required.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Sports Event and Entertainment or other related degree.
  • 5 or more years of experience as an Operations, Project or Event Operations Manager in related industry.
  • Clean and valid driver’s license is required.
  • Proven success in management role overseeing multiple departments and operations within a service related industry.
  • Exercises good judgment and leverages prior experiences to apply expertise to similar circumstances.
  • Well organized with a keen attention to detail.Follow up and follow through.
  • Ability to problem solve and dynamically contribute new ideas within a collaborative team
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as needed to meet daily, monthly and annual deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with others at various levels within the organization as well as internally.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and professionally with all levels of an organization (both internal and clients/venue staff) is a must.Behave in a professional manner both onsite and at company locations.
  • Skilled in leading, developing and coaching managers to achieve business goals and strategy.
  • Knowledge of the sport and entertainment industry behind the scenes operations a plus.

Work Environment:

This position has flexible work locations due to onsite venues, Bridgeview warehouse, and downtown office.Some noise and variance in temperature is typical.Hours or work are Monday through Friday (8-5), but when the work load dictates, this position is expected to work beyond the normal hours depending on event schedules, including holidays and weekends, on short notice.Willingness to travel is a must. Applicants should have access to transportation to work as well as a proven clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $150,000.00 to $175,000.00 /year
