The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for a variety of Credit Union marketing efforts geared towards membership acquisition, retention and cross-sell. This individual must be well-organized, self-motivated and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. This individual must also possess a keen ability to multi-task to meet deadlines and work flexible hours as project needs dictate. Working under the guidance of the Assistant Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will assist his/her co-workers throughout the Credit Union and contribute to a friendly and cooperative working environment that support the internal service culture and projects that benefit key business areas and our membership.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement direct mail and e-mail marketing initiatives to support membership acquisition/retention and product promotion. Identify and utilize internal and external data sources to execute direct mail, email and promotional campaigns. Coordinate database activities such as demographic appends, campaign tracking and reporting. Responsible for writing, developing and execute both direct mail and email campaigns supporting organizational goals.
This individual will also be responsible for developing newsletter articles, web communications, banners, journal ads, etc. in support of NEFCU’s scholarship programs, community relations outreach, corporate events, etc. This person must also represent NEFCU at community events both during and after business hours. Candidate will also manage budget process including invoicing, check processing, and budget reporting.
Should have a B.A. or B.S. degree with an emphasis in marketing, communications or public relations with a minimum of three years of work experience in a financial institution. Experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable.
Must have a working knowledge of laws and regulations affecting all of the products and services of the Credit Union, advertising policies and procedures and market research techniques.
Should have strong verbal presentation and writing skills. Self-motivated with good organizational skills and attention to detail. Professional appearance and demeanor.
