The Strategy & Innovation Office in the developer partner (ISV) team in Microsoft’s One Commercial Partner organization is looking for a leader who is a strategic thinker with a successful and solid track record of either being a partner or working with partners – understanding their business needs, building out their technical strategies & technical delivery capabilities, and defining their go-to-market services. This individual also must be able to lead, envision, design and execute market defining projects in multi-dimensional, complex environments (Product Teams & Business Groups, Corporate Teams, the Microsoft Field, and directly with our Partners). You will have the core responsibility of developing and scoping our developer partner recruit algorithm and evaluating market potential, taking global stakeholder feedback into account. You will be working closely with partner marketing groups as well as our partner recruit teams.
This position will be responsible but not limited to:
Define and manage scope for a trained Machine Learning model or leverage recruit model to estimate Total Addressable Market (TAM) per country
Create awareness of a “Total Addressable Market” model with A14 community leadership
Provide specific, regularly updated licensing guidance for OCP and seller community and provide licensing requirements to WWLP
Create audit processes for metric adherence and scorecard management
Build, promote and create awareness for GDPR and local policies as well as legal dependencies impacting ISV Build With motion
Create scorecard and ISV metrics to show impact on gaining market share, to be implemented in FY20 (pilot)
Build and maintain an active community of thought leaders and stakeholders to drive the market thinking around cloud practices and digital transformation initiatives
Gather insights and trends to be able to define and design future strategy as well as to support changes in existing strategy.
Manage matrixed and cross organization teams. Lead and manage matrixed virtual teams that span in partnership with Engineering, Marketing, WW Commercial, and across OCP to grow adoption and usage of Microsoft platforms.
10+yrs of experience in technical practice development, marketing, technical sales, consulting, or related IT services, with focus on customer or partner technical practice development, technical practice management, technical sales, technical consulting services.
Knowledge on cloud platforms technologies, with a solid understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem as it pertains to cloud computing solutions.
Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills leveraging internal and external resources when needed to drive for results with a strong ability to distill widely variant feedback into root cause issues and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders.
Superior presentation, writing and verbal communication skills. This role will communicate to a variety of audiences and levels (internal, executive and external roles) via a myriad of mediums, such as: across social media, blogs, marketing campaigns, events and media.
Project management experience is ideal
Interaction with all levels of management will be required, therefore the need to articulate vision and solutions to executives is required.
Demonstrable skills in the following areas are critical:
10+ years of recent Industry experience in the service provider or cloud-related space
Strong track record developing and leading technical market strategies.
Experienced in leading and landing complex programs worldwide.
Experience in managing large and complex projects across multiple business units, and segments, with worldwide impact.
Excellent virtual team builder with strong cross group collaboration skills
Great communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate and present strategy, projects, investments, and change programs to key executive stakeholders
This position is based in Redmond, Washington as the need for in person collaboration will be key to the success of this role, due to the close day-to-day interaction with other Corporate and Product teams. BA/BSc or Master degree preferred.
