Kitchen Brains ... Who we are

In 1969, Ben Koether founded Food Automation Service Techniques, now known as Kitchen Brains, with the goal of helping restaurants overcome operational challenges. Our first product, the FASTRON cooking computer, had a simple single goal: serving the perfect french fry. Over the years, our products have evolved into smart devices controlling complex processes and application software for managing commercial kitchens and monitoring food safety.

Today, we operate a world-class manufacturing facility at our global headquarters in Stratford, Connecticut where we design, engineer and produce the latest electronic control devices. Our KB360 global applications connect these and other IOT devices across commercial kitchens, enabling management to view key performance indicators and send updates to locations, helping to assure quality and consistency, while reducing training and operational costs.

Job Description

The Marketing Manager is a “hands-on” position with responsibility for managing, delivering and continually refreshing Kitchen Brains traditional, digital and social media communications across all touchpoints to support our leadership role in the industry. This includes the company website, sales materials, advertising, social, events, meetings, branding, promotional programs, and internal communications. The role is also responsible for levering industry and competitive information to support business decisions and drive change.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Creating, implementing and overseeing an annual communications plan that supports corporate and product sales objectives, timing and budget
  • Working with internal graphics, purchasing and other team members, as needed, on creative and production of marketing campaigns and materials
  • Liaising with the sales team and members of our representative network to identify and deliver the marcom support and tools they need for success
  • Managing external agencies and vendors that serve our business, attending meetings, and assuring projects are completed on-time and within budget
  • Overseeing events and meetings, including scoping requirements, procuring materials, managing service providers and logistics, and attending/managing on-site, as required
  • Tracking industry and competitive trends, including new products, pricing and customer wins, through media reports, the Internet and insights from our sales team
  • Employing CRM, marketing automation and budgeting tools, as necessary, to manage the business, analyze results and assure budget compliance


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years marketing experience, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Proven track record of success
  • Ability to work independently to achieve outstanding results
