Job Summary:
The HVAC Technician - Battery Room Specialist will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems specifically designed for battery rooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, particularly in the context of temperature and humidity control for sensitive battery environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in battery rooms to ensure optimal environmental conditions.
- Monitor and adjust climate control settings to meet specific requirements for battery storage.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure HVAC systems are operating efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HVAC systems, including diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement HVAC solutions for new battery room projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Provide emergency repair services as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in HVAC systems preferred.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, preferably with experience in battery rooms or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning principles.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid HVAC technician license and certifications as required by local regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
