The Consultant, HR Strategic Business Projects role is accountable for leading and implementing projects and/or processes to achieve both long and short term objectives of the business unit or global function they support. This includes ensuring that the right organizational capabilities, leadership and talent are in place and ensuring that people are engaged, motivated, and appropriately rewarded.
This role works closely with the HR strategic business partner and business leaders to drive business results and consults with subject matter experts in HR including compensation & benefits, recruiting and staffing, leadership development, talent management among others, to ensure that the policies, programs, and plans best serve the needs of the business that they support.
This particular role will provide support across the Lilly Research Labs (LRL) Organization.
Although projects will vary based on the strategy and needs of the function or business unit, the
consultant role will be responsible for the following deliverables:
Implement the strategic workforce plan and corresponding diversity and retention strategies. This includes talent acquisition strategies based on business plan and long range plan.
Responsible for leading the continuous flow talent strategy, which includes shaping, implementing and documenting succession planning and pipeline discussions.
Lead and implement innovative initiatives and process, including the associated leading and lagging metrics to improve the outcomes.
Partner with HR business leaders to lead LRL specific projects across various subject matters in support of the change agenda approved by the function (e.g. NGR culture, capability matrix work, reward strategies, diversity goals).
Partner with the HR COEs to continually and relentlessly improve HR services for scientific and medical talent that reach across Research, Development and the Business Units.

5+ years of HR or Project Management Experience

Understanding of reward systems and design

Six Sigma experience
Knowledge of SAP/Metric systems
Advance degree (e.g. MBA)
