Introduction – Organizational Details:
Barilla America, Inc. wants to recruit a Human Resources Manager (Restaurants/MXO/Canada) – within Human Resources based in Northbrook, IL. The individual will report to Human Resources Sr Manager

Job Purpose: The Human Resources Manager is primarily responsible for supporting Restaurant/MXO/Canada in the areas of recruitment/selection, training, performance management/personal development, safety, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. The position is responsible for the continuous improvement/refinement of all associated programming and culture enrichment.

Key Accountabilities:
Facilitate and lead the communication process among all levels of the organization.
Responsible for compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
Lead recruiting, selection, immigration, and retention strategies.
Communicate the local total compensation programs, including health, dental, life, and vision.
Assess staff training requirements and create programs to meet career development needs.
Direct the implementation of HR policies, programs, and procedures.
Prepare and manage the labor budget including analyzing results and developing recommendations for improvement.
Monitor performance programs; Evaluate compensation program and lead improvements as needed
Assess job descriptions and benchmark pay of positions; review the classification of positions and rewrite as needed
Manage conflict resolution, team building, and employee skill evaluations.
Lead employee relations team
Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaint
Monitors performance management and develop training plans
Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
Lead continuous improvement efforts that lead to a high-performance culture
All other duties as assigned.

Additional Information:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the human resources function is required, preferably with specific experience in Human Resources Management within a restaurant or hospitality (experiential) environment preferred.
PHR or SPHR preferred.
Previous experience in a multi-national environment is a plus. (Canada a plus)
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws required.
Experience in an ISO environment preferred.
This position primarily works in a climate-controlled office setting.
Occasionally, the individual may be exposed to the restaurant environment.
10% Travel may be required
