The Senior Director, Digital Transformation and Value Capturewill be a seasoned healthcare executive who will work with key senior leaders in Digital Transformation Office, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Supporting Functions (Customer Service, Technical Service, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) and Information Technology to develop and execute on the long-term strategy to develop and execute a Region Digital Strategy encompassing back office, sales and marketing and customer facing needs based solutions that are digitally enabled. In addition to setting the overall digital vision and strategy, the DT Leader will help Global Business Units (GBUs) and Regions accelerate opportunities, consolidate lessons to share, measure progress and drive continuous improvement and enhancements to the Baxter customer experience.
Responsible for driving execution of accelerating initiatives (Value capture) to guarantee incremental sales across the Region and build optimization business models for faster decision making.
The ideal candidate will show demonstrable experience having led Digital Sales & Marketing and/or experience working for a medical technology or health IT organization. The candidate has delivered prior results through building, establishing and running Digital Sales & Marketing programs – inclusive but not limited to needs finding, detailed customer segmentation, lead generation campaigns, content marketing, and omni-channel customer engagement.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced and matrixed environment and will collaborate internally to embrace and drive change. P&L management experience, and strategy experience is strongly preferred.
Lead a team of 3 employees to define and advance the vision and strategy for Americas and Region Digital Strategy to effectively improve “how we work” and how customers “experience Baxter”
Accountable for the effective resource planning, management, reporting and coordination of multiplier projects/initiatives to deliver change in line with availability and business requirements. This includes driving digital roadmap planning, together with product owners, business stakeholders and executives.
Work with the Digital Transformation Office as well as the Lead the Regional Digital Council on aligning the Digital portfolio to the organization’s strategy.
Partner with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions and coordinate activities within Baxter’s business, including Innovation, Software, and IT.
Influence internal business leaders to identify and adopt new digital technology initiatives to enhance patient or provider engagements.
Lead of the different Value Capture actions within the Region in coordination with regional resources and appropriate stakeholders.
Generate a pipeline of opportunities to mitigate AOP risk and accelerate growth.
Evaluate and Prioritize the country's M&A business cases based on America's portfolio strategic fit.
Key liaison with Countries General managers to execute target for Value Capture initiatives.
Provide Americas President and SLT providing gathering input and providing updates about Value Capture activities.
Manage relationships with third party digital delivery partners, focusing on performance management against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Establishment of a strong presence in the digital healthcare market.
Completion of a needs based regional digital transformation business strategy that encompasses a five-year plan and associated roadmaps.
Development and deployment of multiple digital projects/initiatives.
Successful creation of a digital transformation team that includes hiring and developing people to simplify engagement with Baxter.
Effective communication of the regional strategy and progress to sr. leadership as well as the entire region.
Be comfortable operating in ambiguity and keeping up with market trends to clarify needs and desired outcomes.
10+ years of experience in the technology and/or medical device industries, ideally within sales or marketing related businesses.
Experience scaling a business, driving revenue growth and building a team.
Exposure to design thinking and customer journeys.
Solid knowledge of digital and/or automation industry to manage business stakeholders.
Comfortable with digital technology/IT to be able to engage in discussions on e-commerce, cloud, and MDM to drive technology transformation to enable digital globally within Baxter.
Challenger mindset and passion to challenge status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas.
An undergraduate degree is required. MBA is preferred.
