You will lead marketing strategy deep dives that will help your product marketing and business development stakeholders sustainably grow our complex platforms and ecosystems, as well as help marketing leadership run a tight ship with annual planning and regular budget and headcount management. This role spans business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) and is highly cross-functional. You will work with key partners in Finance, People Operations, and Global Marketing and will need to be a trusted advisor to Platforms and Ecosystems (P&E) Marketing leadership. Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems-from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can-changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Be a thought leader that helps shape P&E marketing strategy globally.
Own ad-hoc internal strategy consulting projects that focus on a wide range of topics including partner marketing strategy, new market entry, and organizational design.
Own the annual planning process, ensuring alignment between marketing strategy and product area strategy. Support development and tracking of OKRs with P&E marketing leadership.
Ensure that the business operates efficiently; lead budget, headcount, and OKR measurement processes and owner internal communications for executive leadership.
Mentor and develop a team of high-caliber strategy associates.
