Job Details:
- Contract Hours: 10-20 hours per week
- Location: Virtual (Remote) within California
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical nursing care to students requiring specialized health procedures.
- Ensure all procedures follow approved written protocols, as directed by physicians and requested by patients.
- Collaborate with school staff and other nurses to deliver healthcare services while minimizing disruptions to the educational process.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and physicians, staying up-to-date on student health status, while adhering to policies and procedures.
- Work closely with District resource nurses to ensure all health practices meet legal requirements, including the preparation and maintenance of necessary documentation.
- Maintain detailed procedure logs, record significant health information in nursing notes, and prepare assigned reports.
- Perform vision and hearing screenings via hybrid telehealth, with comprehensive paid training provided.
Qualifications:
- Current State of California RN License
- California School Nurse Services Credential or Preliminary Credential (Required)
- Current CPR certification
