Moffatt & Nichol is actively searching for a Structural Engineer to perform design for waterfront structures and marine infrastructure projects, including marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads, breakwater and shore protection structures. The ideal candidate has 8-12 years’ experience working from conceptual layout through the design process. This role will serve our Louisiana operations in either Baton Rouge or New Orleans.

Duties and responsibilities:
Responsibilities and experience will include performing engineering design and analysis on waterfront infrastructure projects relating to

Structural analysis, design, and detailing for concrete, steel, timber, etc.
Inspection and Rehabilitation of waterfront structures
Port and port planning projects
Urban waterfront projects

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required, Structural emphasis; Master’s in Structural preferred
Minimum 8 years’ waterfront structures/ infrastructure design experience
Professional Engineer's liscence in LA, or ability to obtain PE in LA through reciprocity within 6 months
