This person will support the league�s Strategic Communications function, specifically in the area of executive communications. S/He will play a vital role in identifying media opportunities for senior NFL executives that help amplify the NFL�s core narrative and leadership role in society.
Roles & Responsibilities
With the Strategic Communications Manager, build a comprehensive executive communications plan.
Identify/secure earned media and owned and operated media opportunities that profile league executives on a regular basis � through mainstream publications, radio, and television outlets as well as non-traditional and local media.
Identify/secure speaking opportunities for senior league executives at leading domestic and international conferences.
Develop and maintain an internal system for tracking executive speaking and interview requests as well as confirmed engagements.
Review and update bios for key executives.
Create and send press kits to generate executive speaking/interview opportunities around key league events and/or initiatives.
Craft and edit prep materials for interviews.
With PR agency of record, conduct regular media training for league executives.
Build and maintain robust business, sports, entertainment, and technology media lists.
Organize events for senior executives to network with media contacts.
Coordinate with Strategic Communications team members to amplify key profiles across social media.
The ideal candidate must possess a B.A. or a B.S., preferably in communications, journalism, or marketing and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a publicist. S/He will have significant expertise in publicity, preferably at a PR agency or hand-on experience in-house. S/He will be comfortable in a fast-moving environment and someone with impeccable organizational and interpersonal skills.
Expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus

This position could require extensive travel during the season/pre-season, including on weekends.
Expected Hours of Work:
At least 40 hours per week.
