Position Summary

The Director Architecture is a design professional with a thorough knowledge of architectural practice who oversees the project delivery of multiple projects in design and construction. The role is responsible for managing architectural project teams on multiple new construction projects and directing staff to adhere to department-wide processes and industry best practices. The position is also involved in cross-functional collaboration across the division including partnering with teams from Real Estate and Development and Construction.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Provides strong technical, practice-based leadership and oversight for all assigned projects to ensure best-in-class project delivery standards bringing them in on schedule and on budget
Supports departmental vision and team alignment through the implementation of strategies aimed at increasing departmental efficiency and internal processes
Trains, develops and assesses direct reports through mentoring, coaching, career planning, direction and feedback and then meets with direct reports 1-1 every month and conduct performance reviews
Partners with cross-functional leaders in Architecture, Construction, and Real Estate to ensure adherence to internal processes and quality standards expectations
Manages multiple project teams simultaneously including internal staff and external consultants from schematic design through project completion
Position Requirements

I Bachelor Degree in Architecture or Professional Degree in Architecture
10+ years in leading and managing project teams for complex building types
Ability to work cross-functionally with interdisciplinary teams including real estate development, architecture, construction and club operations
Demonstration of strong leadership, and ability to motivate, develop and hold teams accountable
Preferred Requirements

Master's Degree in Architecture preferred
LEED Accreditation
Experience in prototype and/or large scale roll-out experience preferred
