Full-time faculty position Continuing Tenure Track appointment, effective Fall 2018 semester.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food Service Management, or related Culinary/Hospitality field. Applicants with an associate’s degree in culinary arts and outstanding culinary arts professional experience as well as demonstrated competencies in culinary arts education may be considered.
Two years full-time, or equivalent part-time, teaching or training experience in Culinary Arts.
Significant professional experience in food service operations, including substantial responsibilities in purchasing and inventory management.
Food Safety Certification (ServSafe)
Professional credentialing strongly preferred.

Evidence of ability to teach effectively within, and contribute positively to, a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population and campus environment.
Experience mentoring students or young professionals.
Experience with a range of instructional and assessment methods.
Effective use of current and appropriate technology in teaching.
Degree from an accredited institution. (Unofficial transcripts must accompany application; official transcripts are required upon offer of employment.)
Letters of recommendation (job-related and dated within the past three years).
Documentation of experience and performance.
Ability to teach flexible schedules.
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
