Job Description

Visa’s Innovation team is a global client facing organization that sets Visa’s public innovation agenda and promotes hands on incubation and rapid prototyping to show the art of the possible for clients and partners.

The team has an open position as Director, Global Innovation Experience and Content Manager. The Director is responsible for leading the development of regional thought leadership and POVs on the future of banking, retail, smart cities, financial inclusion, among others; and to communicate and demonstrate the vision and purpose of Visa innovation at strategic regional events and within Visa. He/she will also interact closely with the Global Innovation Activation Team to support experiences at Visa Sponsored Global events and tradeshows.

He/she is creative and hands-on, demonstrates depth of thinking and experiences across card issuing, merchant payment solutions, and new payments capabilities.

The Director must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. He/she must be willing to support complex, immersive and leading edge technologies. Finally, the Director must have strong project management skills. This position will require approximately 20% to 30% travel.

Key responsibilities:
Lead the design, built and execution of Visa’s Employees Incubator Program.
Lead all efforts to turn Miami Innovation Center into a Center of Excellence on Financial Inclusion.
Build thought leadership content and innovation narratives that portrait a POV in different areas of the industry.
Lead and manage events; provide support and consulting services for events that aren’t led by the Innovation team.
Collaborate within various teams to help facilitate themes and design experiences to produce events, which align with product/market strategies, client profiles and event agendas.
Must have ability to speak effectively in front of executive-level customer audiences. Must be able to work independently, but manage collaboratively. This position requires him or her to have an extensive knowledge of the payments industry, be comfortable promoting and explaining Visa and partner products, and be a broad expert on Visa innovation and philosophies.
Evangelize innovations within and outside Visa, in order to pave way for commercialization/ product roll out.
Provide metrics and reporting
Must be willing to travel approximately 20% to 30% of normal business hours Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related subject (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, marketing, finance or communications). Advanced degree preferred. Must have 10+ years of professional experience in technology or other related field, 5+ years of payments experience required, proven experience in customer facing roles i.e. business development, marketing, sales or other customer facing roles.

Passionate about payments and has meaningful understanding of developments in the areas of
IoT, blockchain, AR/VR, data, and other technologies.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/events
simultaneously
Strong strategic approach to payments and innovation
Self-motivated, flexible, collaborative
Strong interpersonal skills, must be good with clients of all levels
Attention to detail in all areas
Willingness to master complex payment solutions in a fast changing market

People management experiences, as he/she will have a direct report
