The Stern Center for Language and Learning is seeking a Graphic Designer to elevate our brand, message and mission through compelling print and digital marketing, website design, and social media channels. Our ideal candidate will have graphic and web design skills, an eye for clean design, and an interest in our mission. The Designer will: Collaborate with Communications Director to determine the message, scope, target audience, and strategy for online and offline marketing Execute print and online design consistent with established brand while also using creativity, marketing strategy, and technical expertise to heighten Stern Centers reputation and convey our brand most effectively Develop content for website, e-newsletter, blogs and for social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn Select design elements such as colors, images, text style, and layout to create clean, compelling design for marketing materials including brochures, newspaper, direct mail, and email campaignsEnsure efficient workflow, including marketing logistics, material preparation, and event productionReview designs for errors, present to the Communications Director, and incorporate any recommended changes into the final designQualified applicants will have: A bachelors degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing or related discipline, a minimum of two years of graphic design experience, and a solid creative portfolioStrong technical marketing skills, knowledge of web trends, and experience using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, JavaScript, WordPress, and HTML Eye for clean, creative and compelling design Excellent communication skills and ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism Superior organizational skills with ability effectively respond to deadlinesThe Stern Center for Language and Learning is a nonprofit learning center dedicated to helping children and adults reach their academic, social and professional goals.
