We are seeking a professional and empathetic Legal Intake Coordinator to join our team. As the first point of contact for potential clients, you will play a vital role in providing excellent client service, collecting essential information, and assisting in assessing potential cases. Your ability to listen actively, communicate clearly, know when to ask questions, and show empathy will be key in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls and emails from potential clients seeking legal assistance
- Conduct initial intake interviews to gather relevant information about potential cases
- Provide accurate information about our firm's services and procedures
- Assist in evaluating the viability of potential cases for further review
- Maintain detailed and organized records of client interactions and case details
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure seamless client intake process
- Assist with administrative work
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service, legal intake, or a related field preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work empathetically with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of employment law and legal terminology is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software preferred
- Proficiency in Clio of similar client service management software preferred
