FACILITIES ENGINEER MANAGER**
The Plastek Group, a world leader in custom plastics molding, is seeking a Facilities Engineer for a plant located in Hamlet North Carolina.**
Managing capital projects, energy saving projects, and continuous improvements plans within budget and on schedule.
The evaluation of new systems and equipment for implementation as well as the ability to look forward and identify future needs.
The management of Electrical, Electrical Backup, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Safety, Security, Water, Material
Distribution, and Compressed Air systems.
Supervise maintenance personnel.
Partner with Health and Safety to ensure facility safety standards are being met.
Estimate manpower requirements for all jobs requirements including outside resources.
The position will require a BS in an engineering discipline and at least 5 – 7 years of experience in all aspects of Facility Maintenance.
Knowledge of and experience with PLC’s and controls.
AutoCAD software and Microsoft Project.
The ability to write proposals, make presentations, and coordinate multiple and/or conflicting projects.
Knowledge of safety standards, piping and electrical standards and other fundamental industrial and mechanical standards.
Team oriented, self motivated with strong leadership skills.
Knowledge of physical plant support systems (HVAC, Chiller Towers, Controls systems, etc.)
This position requires an adaptive individual with a diverse range of skills, experience and abilities. This is individual must have strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills due to the interaction between various and diverse groups. A high level of technical knowledge of planning/ scheduling/ procurement procedures, ordering spare parts, is needed due to the complexity of activities. Computer skills and the use of some applications software are required.
This position will report to the site general manager and can be filled within a wide pay range.The salary decision will be based on the individual's experience and education.**
