A Gate Guard's primary responsibility is to greet visiting patrons in a courteous and friendly manner by checking proof of membership (pool passes and ID) and collect guest passes or fees if needed. Gate Guards are responsible for maintaining complete sign in sheets/guest log and answering facility telephone in a courteous manner. Gate Guards are also responsible for responding/assisting with patron concerns in a professional manner with an emphasis on trying to help and referring members to management to deal with any problems if necessary. Gate Guards should understand all pool rules and be fair and consistent in the enforcement of the rules, maintain a clean work area and never leave gate/entrance unattended. Other duties may include: clean and sanitize bathrooms and toilets, assist the Lifeguard team if needed during secondary duties or emergencies, help with organizing community events, such as pool parties, swim team practices, etc. All Gate Guards should understand the mission of AquaSafe Pool Management and contribute to the good reputation of the company.
Experienced, motivated Gate Guards who demonstrate excellent customer service, organizational and leadership skills may be considered as a Lifeguard in the future with advancement opportunities to become a Pool Manager, with the opportunity for more responsibility and higher pay. Interest in advancement including how to obtain the Lifeguard certification and future opportunity to become a Pool Manager can be discussed in your interview.

* Gate Guards must be a minimum of 14 years of age
* Gate Guards must be able to work all weekends including Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday through Monday), 4th of July and Labor Day weekend (Saturday through Monday)
* Gate Guards must conduct themselves in a professional manner and must be attentive and focused
*Our Gate Guards earn an average of $7,000 over the course of the Summer
*Gate Guards gain career experience in customer service, safety, supervision and management
*Advancement Opportunities: A Gate Guard can become a Lifeguard, Head Lifeguard, Pool Manager, Supervisor, Lifeguard Instructor and so much more!
