Herff Jones, A Varsity Achievement Brand is seeking an innovative Pricing Manager to join our growing team. The Pricing Manager will play an important role in managing the analysis and implementation of pricing and commission models covering a large portfolio of products across the enterprise. You will manage a team of analysts in performing complex analytics and you will be responsible for overseeing the tactical aspects of pricing approvals and related activities. You will review and provide constructive feedback to each member of your team regarding the progress of individual specific performance goals to ensure that each analyst is consistently contributing to the success of the business. You will support the Director of Pricing & Commissions to carry out strategic initiatives in support of company goals and objectives. You will ensure that all pricing and commissions related activity is compliant with company standards.
What you’ll do on a daily basis:
Establish positive relationships with direct reports to motivate performance at the highest level
Challenge your team to learn new skills, grow professionally and be successful contributors to the company
Manage analysts and work-flows to ensure that all procedures relevant to and in support of pricing decisions are being followed, always holding yourself and others accountable
Partner with key stakeholders to develop and support initiatives for sales growth, margin and profitability growth based on competitive research, customer insights and industry/product segmentation analyses
Develop external comparable metrics to help drive organizational expectations
Measure the success of pricing & commission actions after implementation and report key metrics such as incremental sales, margin performance, price realization, and price elasticities as data matures
Take ownership of and be accountable for the quality of pricing and commission decisions and activities
What you’ll bring to the table:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field with 6-10 years of experience in pricing
Master’s Degree a plus
Passionate about work, detail-oriented, analytical, and excellent problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of and ability to apply wide application of pricing principles, theories, and concepts
Understanding of critical inputs to a successful pricing model including knowledge of related fields such as sales, product management, marketing, operations and finance
Possess a high level of integrity; Be widely trusted, direct and truthful, with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships for the maximum collaborative benefit
Demonstrate an aptitude for framing complex business problems and translating into analyses and recommendations to inform decision-making
Ability to think creatively, innovatively, and strategically in making recommendations to senior leadership
