In this role you will be responsible for:
The prompt, efficient and accurate performance of all phlebotomy duties in the Lab
Responding to telephone requests for laboratory results
Processing specimens according to Central Processing procedure and policy with regard to receipt, priority triage, dispatch and retrieval
Performing basic computer systems functions as relates to specimen processing and inquiries
Preparing and performing all functions related to the proper handling of specimens

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Pediatric phlebotomy/lab experience required
Computer data entry experience required
Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
Must have driver's license and proof of auto insurance
ASCP Phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience (required)
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, sitting and walking; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, etc. Light to moderate lifting of supplies.
Visual Requirements: Near vision, color vision, and constant use/exposure to video display terminals.
Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear normal conversation and telephone communication.
Working Conditions: Laboratory/clinical setting. Possible exposure to infectious disease; potential exposure to infectious substances and needle punctures.
