Job Description Summary
We’re looking for a Client Data Manager to join our loyalty marketing team. As a Client Data Manager, you must be a critical thinker who is adept at monitoring, reporting and communicating key insights through the use of data. You’ll develop custom reports and respond to ad hoc data queries, as well as work closely with clients and internal stakeholders on issues and initiatives that impact data integrity, data needs, data enhancements and reporting. The Client Data Manager will partner with IT and our analytics team to leverage data assets to help the team develop on target communications, promotions and platform enhancements. Client Data Manager
Reporting and Working Relationships
Reports to Sr. Manager level or above within Channel Services. Collaborates with client project team on issues that pertain to client data. Collaborates with data suppliers/consumers and data analysts as needed.Interactsregularly with external clients to explain reports and capture requests.
40%: Data Governance: Combined focus on Data Management and Data Integrity. Helps to envision and implement a business intelligence strategy aimed at meeting reporting and analytics needs in alignment with business objectives, including data warehousing and BI solutions. Documents and maintains data models, data dictionaries and other reference materials for use in advancing data integration efforts and incorporating the latest data governance practices. Works with IT and analytics team to ensure data definitions, uses and limitations are understood. Assures that procedures for acquiring/using new data and for testing and maintaining data integrity are followed. Documents data precedence rules and ensures they are implemented correctly and are tested regularly. Manages data exchange processes for data partners/suppliers to ensure timely files and consistent file formats/names.
20%: Reporting Oversight: Ensures the accuracy of all program reports utilizing SQL for data validation. Leads requirements gathering, design and oversees development of new program reports. Reviews reports produced by the client team for quality and accuracy. Ensures approved reports are run on schedule and submitted to the client on expected date as outlined in the Report Delivery Calendar.
20% Technical Execution: Knowledgeable of the timetable and client expectations established for all technical/data projects. Actively participates in client meetings as required. Manages client expectations related to data and reporting management. Prepare documentation of process and procedures to effectively and efficiently ensure technology and data deliverables. Escalate client data issues to management where appropriate. Understands service level agreements as it relates to the database/website. Collaborate with assigned technical team in regard to client data needs.
20%: User Acceptance Testing: Manage the user acceptance testing process for assigned applications. Coordinate testing efforts among internal resources. Consolidate feedback and provide to third party technology provider. Ensure identified issues are resolved with third party technology partner prior to production release.
