Summary: The Logistics Controller is responsible for ensuring the management and accuracy of the plant shipment processes. This position verifies and approves the employee truck driver trip logs;

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Accurately utilizes Ennis Flint Transportation Management System (TMS);
Utilize TMS to send out carrier bids and approves the quote;
Utilize TMS to assign carriers;
Utilize TMS to print out Bill of Lading (BOL);
Utilize TMS to send to carrier creating the shipper, inputting loads, and enter to Solomon;
Effectively use excel to update shipping logs;
Create, maintain, and enter information into databases;
Print Safety Data Sheets (SDS), certifications, all other shipment documentation, and send applicable parties copies (E-mail with shipment and/or attach to material when shipped);
Upload documents and pictures to TMS;
May coordinate with the IC (Internal Certification) and assist with supervising of picking and loading personnel;
Effectively works with dispatcher coordinating the Fleet driver loads via e-mail or sending with carrier;
Timely sending of trip sheets to Penske Rep;
Send PM (Preventative Maintenance) requests to the shop and assist coordinating work;
Approve driver's daily log mileage information by auditing trips, then send to payroll for driver pay;
Complete Return Material Authorization (RMA) paperwork in a timely manner and return it to the Ennis Flint Complaints Specialist;

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or Ged, plus 1 year administrative experience;
Basic Excel skills required;
2 year degree and experience, a plus;

Leadership Ability:
Ability to collaborate and model effective teamwork;

Computer Skills:
Ability and knowledge in Microsoft office applications and TMS;
Basic knowledge in Excel;

Integrity:

Ability to pay close attention to detail for accuracy and thoroughness in completing work;
