We're now seeking an administrative assistant to join our collaborative team in Reston, VA. Working behind-the-scenes, this person will be a go-to resource within the office, assisting with client billing and ensuring that things run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsible for day-to-day office operations, including coordination with Property Manager, scheduling office cleaning, ordering office supplies, watering plants, etc.
Greet all visitors and guests who enter the office and announce their arrival to appropriate staff members; walk visitors and guests to their meeting locations.
Maintain and manage the reception area.
Receive and sort mail and deliveries, prepare outgoing packages, schedule pickups, and drop off packages as needed.
Answer telephones professionally, screen and direct calls, take and relay messages, and provide general information to callers and guests; monitor general voice mailbox and forward or relay messages as appropriate.
Responsible for scheduling and preparing internal and external meetings as needed, including reserving conference room space, ordering food and beverages for in-house meetings, etc.
Assist with mdg VA-based HR activities, including interview coordination, new hire onboarding scheduling, and employee morale events (Third Thursday events, mdg VA employee and client birthdays, etc.).
Manage mdg VA office budget and credit card reconciliation.
Assist with client billing as needed.
Responsible for the purchase of office supplies in accordance with agency purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions.
Coordinate IT system and equipment upgrades and maintenance for the mdg VA office.
Schedule and manage travel arrangements for the mdg VA office.
Assist with filing and other administrative and marketing duties as assigned.
Participate as needed in special agency projects.

College degree, preferably in business, accounting or finance strongly preferred
2 years of relevant professional experience required
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team with flexibility and adaptability
