McGovern Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM of Newton, part of the McGovern Automotive Group -a new and fast growing automotive retailer - is hiring a Business Manager to join our exceptional team!

Role Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Sales Consultants and works with customers to manage the financial requirements in the vehicle sales process, including completing and reviewing paperwork and assisting with funding needs
  • Assesses and analyzes the customer’s needs with respect to ownership, coverage and history of traded vehicle
  • Presents finance and insurance product menu to every customer while illustrating the product benefits and features
  • Captures all customer information, confirms title information, and insurance information
  • Confirms all sales figures to date, as well as credit information and funds paid upfront
  • Answers questions from customers and overcomes objections
  • Collects a signed final menu document that outlines the financial terms in the final purchase contract, retail installment contract (or lease contract), and lists the products the customer declined
  • Submits credit and obtains approval from lending institution
  • Confirms all bank stipulations are met and confirms with customer prior to vehicle delivery
  • Verifies that all required documents are signed correctly and that all monies due to dealer are collected prior to delivery
  • Records receipt funds in compliance with McGovern Automotive Group policies, including proper Cash Reporting guidelines
  • Ensures that products sold are priced within McGovern Automotive Group pricing guidelines
  • Forwards documents to appropriate deal and registration clerks, while coordinating product installations
  • Trains and assists the sales department on proper customer transition (Turn-Over) to finance department, promoting a proper transfer of trust
  • Able to achieve production and volume goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity
  • Maintains expert knowledge of all products offered, updates, features, and accessories
  • Ensures finance process is delivered in such a format to attain customer satisfaction scores at, or above, the regional average
  • Maintains full disclosure in compliance with all federal and state guidelines
  • Properly handles all product cancellation requests and attempts to resell product advantages and benefits
  • Complies with McGovern Automotive Group ethical standards and company processes, including the express prohibition of falsified documents and the requirement that incentives be approved by President of McGovern Automotive Group
  • Contributes to the overall success of the dealership by working with all customers, teams and departments collaboratively and professionally with a positive, “roll-up your sleeves” attitude


  • Prior experience in the automotive retail industry preferred
  • Displays superior customer relationship skills and maintains strong emphasis on customer satisfaction
  • Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes assignments, and multi-tasks under pressure
  • Demonstrates a high work ethic and exhibits professional and acceptable behaviors at all times
  • Is self motivated, organized and success driven
  • Completes assigned tasks promptly
  • Reports any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employees to management
  • Maintains professional appearance and confident, positive and high energy presence
  • Is team-oriented with a desire to achieve both individual and collective goals
  • Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook) and has working knowledge of sales-related computer programs
  • Able to pass background and drug screenings
  • Holds a valid driver’s license and has a clean driving record
