Job Description
MISA is looking for an administrative professional with experience and a clear understanding of US customs regulations and documentation required for importing goods into a ** Bonded ** Warehouse facility and managing the bonded inventory levels and any associated transactions.
The specialist will plan and oversee the daily operations of a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) monitored Bonded Warehouse to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
This person will design, implement and maintain processes for the flow of inventory into and out of the Bonded Warehouse, following all applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, they will be a key participant in designing a program to market Bonded Warehouse services to potential customers and growing the bonded business operation for MISA.
The position reports to California Operations Manager.

Implement and maintain processes for the flow of inventory in Bond.

Design programs to market Bonded Warehouse services to external customers and developing the bonded business operation.

Plans and organizes activities related to receiving and operations of the bonded inventory.

Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.

Coordinates with other support departments such as planning, sales, human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful operation.

Oversees the shipping and receiving functions of the bonded warehouse.

Assists with, or prepares and updates, organization’s operations manual and policies in relation to the bonded warehousing operation.

Collaborates with the California Operations Manager and CA Warehouse Manager to maintain inventory receiving, warehousing and fulfillment operations.

Work with forwarders and brokers to ensure deliveries and shipments to and from ports are executed accurately and on schedule

Work with the warehouse manager and the inventory control specialist team on the execution of the internal and physical transfer of product from bonded warehousing to regular warehousing for domestic sells and shipments.

Communicates cross-functionally to achieve successful warehouse operations.

Performs other related duties as required.

Extensive knowledge of Bonded operations and supply chain management.

Export/Import Compliance knowledge

Knowledge of freight forwarding, drayage and customs clearance

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Previous experience in Bonded warehouse / distribution business

Bachelor’s degree in business management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Five years of related experience required.

Experience with bonded warehouse protocols and business operations required
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to access and navigate the warehouse facility.

Able to lift, move and carry objects up to 50lbs for an extended period.

Operate manual / electric pallet jacks & forklift ( is a plus )
