The Johns Hopkins Hospital Plastics, Head & Neck, GI & Surgical Oncology Unit (Weinberg 4 C/D) 36-bed acute care unit for adult surgical patients. Care and services provided for: plastics, reconstruction after breast cancer surgery, gastrointestinal surgery for pancreatic or liver cancer, otolaryngology/ head and neck, and variety of other general surgery patients. Learn many valuable nursing skills including airway / trach management with access to continuous pulse oximetry monitoring system used for airway patients to alert nurse of any changes in oxygenation. Bedside doppler for pulse checks for plastics flap reconstruction patients. You will receive a comprehensive unit orientation and attend core Department of Surgery courses.
Registered Nurse 2 – Surgical Oncology Unit (Weinberg 4 C/D) - This position is for the experienced RN that has achieved RN I competencies.

Requirements:
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- BSN/MSN matriculation required within one-year of hire and completion of degree within five-years of hire.
- Applicants with an Associate’s degree - JHH provides Tuition Reimbursement towards earning your BSN/MSN.
- Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or Compact State Registered Nursing license is required.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Must have Acute Care hospital nursing experience.
- The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse and is proficient in Registered Nurse 1 competencies.

- Precept new grad nurses while they are working through their residency.
