The Coordinator II, Benefits is responsible for the daily coordination and administration of Southwire’s health and welfare benefit programs, including the administration of the organization's leave policies and insurance programs (health, dental, vision, life, disability, etc.). The coordinator provides information and guidance to team members regarding benefits, handles enrollments, updates records, and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in addressing team members’ and People & Culture Team’s benefits-related questions in a timely manner.
- Generate and create reports to produce benefits-related employment, enrollment, census, reconciliation, and leave reports.
- Communicate with representatives from benefits carriers/vendors to ensure effective administration as well as the identification and resolution of problems.
- Partner with the HR and Benefits team to implement processes and process improvement.
- Document and revise benefits processes and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience - High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred. Instead of degree, any equivalent combination of education and job-related work experience.
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates will possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Candidates will possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Must be able to professionally handle confidential information.
- Ability to clearly articulate strong career interest in the field of People and Culture
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
