**Job Summary:** We are seeking a customer-oriented Cashier & Deli Food Prep Associate to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing a positive shopping experience while handling transactions accurately and efficiently, as well as preparing sandwiches and assisting kitchen staff with food prep. **Responsibilities:** - Greet customers entering the establishment - Scan items, provide pricing, and accept payments - Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers - Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas - Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner - Bag or package purchases - Upsell products and services when appropriate **Experience:** - Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to communicate effectively in English; multilingual skills, especially Spanish, are a plus - Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions - Knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge, particularly in electronics or grocery store items Joining our team as a Cashier offers an opportunity to interact with diverse customers and develop valuable sales skills.
