The Product Manager has responsibility for the cheese category and works cross-functionally across all levels of the organization to create, influence, and implement strategies, initiatives, and key decisions which increase profit and accelerate growth. The Product Manager will lead and promote the development and utilization of industry based best practices and maximize current sales resources, data, and tools to support customers and market needs. The Product Manager will execute on strategic initiatives for the cheese category. The PM will lead and promote the development and utilization of industry-based best practices and maximize current sales resources, data, and tools to support customers and market needs.


Leads cross-functional teams to develop new products from concept to commercialization.
Strong leadership required to ensure successful launch of innovations.
Contributes to the innovation strategy reflecting market needs.
Implements and refines the internal innovation process.
Builds a positive relationship with Regulatory and R&D teams.
Manages relationship with finance to collaborate on cost targets, margin and performance metrics.
Expertise to prioritize projects, work streams, balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to confidently present objectives, desired outcomes to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Ability to influencing others without authority to get things done in a timely fashion.
Attention to detail; can write compelling presentations and succinct emails.
Aptitude to build a level of trust and respect amongst peer group. Recognizes the importance of solid relationships.
Capability to resolve issues or debates independently in most situations.
Strong analytical and technical skills; comfortable with data.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
5 or more years of progressive experience in product or brand management.
2 or more years of project leadership in a cross-functional environment.
2 or more years of being responsible for the development of new or existing products or strategies from conception to implementation
A solid understanding of how food manufacturers/marketers go to market through retail or foodservice channels.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to make sound, independent decisions.
Moderate to strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

Master’s degree.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with suppliers, customers and coworkers.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, troubleshoot and problem solve.
ERP experience.
Experience with data mining Nielsen and IRI.

Working Conditions

Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
Work is performed in an office setting.
