Full Job Description
LPR International is seeking a well-experienced Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPN) to provide support in Reisterstown, MD. In this position, the successful candidate will provide Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) services in support of Individual Medical Readiness (IMR). Every soldier requires anthropomorphic measurements, vital signs, visual acuity, phlebotomy services, audiology testing, and a small subset of electrocardiograms and basic point of care laboratory testing on an annual basis.
The LPN II shall perform examination readiness support services to the MDARNG as required in this PWS, and comply with all military, legal (HIPAA), and regulatory policies and procedures concerning the duties and responsibilities of an LPN II. Personnel assigned to this requirement shall possess the required technical skills and expertise to perform the functions with minimum guidance.
Responsible for completing HIPAA Training annually, and maintains patient confidentiality.
Responsible for compliance with all OSHA guidelines regarding the use of disposable examination material and medical waste.
Responsible for the proper implementation of Standard Universal precautions and infection control measures.
Verify Soldier demographic information.
Complete anthropomorphic measurements (H/W, pulse, Blood Pressure).
Regularly check emails throughout the business day and respond in a timely fashion. An out of office response is required anytime the employee is not working on a scheduled day.
Check voicemail throughout the business day and respond within 24 hours. An out of office response is required anytime the employee is not working on a scheduled day.
Complete Visual acuity testing.
Perform phlebotomy using proper PPE and aseptic technique.
Assist with PHA data entry.
Assist with PHA outlook scheduling and answering PHA phone and messages.
Attend PHA and SRP events as determined by the needs of the state and the individual units.
Follow the regulations and policies applicable to Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) and deployment to include the AR 40-501 and other applicable guidance.
Maintain Soldier records in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 40-66.
Reports significant or concerning finding to the Deputy State Surgeon or his designee.
The Government will provide training necessary to utilize the medical data base (MEDPROS, MEDCHART).
Maintain and file extraneous medical records as required.
Licensed Practical Nurse must be registered to practice nursing in the State of Maryland.
Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
Minimum 3 years of full-time experience treating a military population.
Special Position Requirements:
Must be able to work at both Reisterstown, MD 21136 (Wed/Fri) and Edgewood, MD 21040 (Tues/Thurs) locations. Alternate work locations, work days and hours may be authorized.
