We are in search of a Systems Administrator to join our Mission Partner Environment Services (MPE-S) program to provide on-site support at Fort Meade, MD. As the Systems Administrator, you will organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems.

What You'll Be Doing:
You will provide daily system administration to include system and resource optimization; and user assistance. You will also conduct capacity and performance analysis and provide system configuration change along with upgrade recommendations. You will increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts; and develop system administrator procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Serving as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC problems
Providing various levels of support for troubleshooting and system maintenance, including Windows OS, Cisco Routers and Switches, Juniper Firewalls and Type 1 in-line encryptors.
Managing the full cycle of trouble tickets.
Generating metrics for tickets to track volume, MTTR, and other statistics.
Facilitating monthly patching of Windows Operating Systems.
Running SCAP scans and perform manual STIG checklists on all systems.
Providing continuous monitoring of network health and systems availability with SolarWinds monitoring software
Generating SolarWinds reports to track trends and assist in the analysis of potential improvements.
Receiving detailed shift reports upon starting a shift & providing an updated shift report to the incoming shift.
Performing systems health checks on all systems for the shift reports
Providing support for the escalation and communication of status to leadership and internal customers
Performing other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma with 10+ years direct experience in last 15 years OR Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering) with 7+ years direct experience in last 15 years.
Due to contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
Must hold an active and current DOD Secret/SSBI clearance and be eligible to obtain TS/SCI eligibility.
Position requires a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
Technical certification in one of the following: Microsoft/OS, VMware, CCNA, Juniper, or SolarWinds
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL Foundations certificate (v3 or ITIL 4)
Experience managing a Windows environment, including but not limited to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
VMWare Experience
Understanding of Cisco routing and switching
Strong experience in system hardening, patching and DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides
Certifications in Windows and/or VMWare

Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00
