    • Summary

      This National Guard position is for a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN), Position Description Number D1563P02 and is part of the NJ 177th CMN FT, National Guard.

      Responsibilities

      As a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN), GS-2210-13, you will:
      • Manage, direct, organize, control, and direct the communications activities of the Wing Flying Unit
      • Determine goals and objectives for the organization
      • Exercise supervisory responsibility and authority
      • Ensure unit Quality Assurance and ACOMS standardization/evaluation programs are effectively managed
      • Develop coordinated policy and procedures to utilize architectural guidance and architectural management concepts
      • Ensure quality of service issues are clearly identified, prioritized and resolutions pursued for effective mission accomplishment
      • Provide input to and coordinate on relevant support agreements that require section support to make sure they correctly identify products and services needed

      Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

      Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
      • Data processing functions
      • Understand the stages required to automate a work process
      • Work as a computer operator, computer assistant, or program analyst

      SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have 36 months of experience in the following:
      • Approach techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty
      • Sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment
      • Adaptation of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment
      • Prepare documentation on cost and benefits in a logical fashion
      • Ability to manage the function of the work to be performed
      • Ability to lead, direct, and assign work of personnel

      Education Substition for Specialized Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education
