Position Description/Overview:
Press Ganey currently has an exciting opportunity for Project Consultants in multiple specialties. These specialties include: Perioperative/Surgical Services, Sterile Processing (SPD), Emergency Department (ED), Nurse Director/Manager, Clinical Operations, Operations Financial / Productivity (non-clinical), and Ambulatory / Practice Management. This role is within our Strategic Consulting division. We offer the opportunity for you to take your years of knowledge, experience and travel around the US to affect patient care. Below are the general duties & responsibilities as a Project Consultant, and each of the specialties’ qualifications and education requirements. General Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide expertise on consulting engagements and engage in billable consulting activity in partnership with client team members.
Manage evolving client expectations, needs and priorities, and collaborate with client team members to ensure effective integration with consulting and service delivery capabilities and priorities, including database production processes.
Conduct interviews with hospital personnel and on-site observation.
Manage and monitor client experience, and recommend appropriate strategies, tactics, and operational initiatives to continuously enhance.
Assist with the development, documentation, and presentation of results to clients.
Document findings of analysis and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.
Attend regular face-to-face meetings with the client.
Ensure quality control of deliverables.
Drive development of thought leadership materials, and new service offerings.

General Qualifications:
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize tasks and delegate, when appropriate.
Ability to direct and motivate members of client project teams.
Self-motivator with ability to work independently.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including ability to positively interact with executives, providers, and staff at all levels.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
Must have significant knowledge of clinical practice standards, procedural trends, and effective operational processes
Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills required.
Willingness to travel 100%.
Project Consultant - Perioperative / Surgical Service

Specific Qualifications:
Ten years or more of experience within a progressive healthcare provider organization and/or in consulting.
Minimum five years of management experience in a Surgical Services/Perioperative Department; Directorial experience preferred.
Familiarity with Sterile Processing principles and direct management of the Sterile Processing department preferred.

Specific Education Requirements:
Master’s degree in Nursing, healthcare administration, or business administration preferred, bachelor’s degree required.
Active Registered Nursing License required.
Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) preferred.
Project Consultant – Sterile Processing (SPD)

Specific Qualifications:
Minimum five years of management experience in a Sterile Processing Department (SPD); Directorial/Manager experience preferred.
Seven years of experience within a Sterile Processing department.
Technical proficiency in sterile processing including regulatory and reprocessing requirements as well as sterilization standards required.
Experience educating and mentoring staff members.
Instrument tracking system experience desired.

Education Requirements:
Master’s degree preferred, bachelor’s degree required.
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and/ or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required.
Project Consultant - Emergency Department (ED) / Critical Care

Qualifications:
Ten years or more of experience within a progressive healthcare provider organization and/or in consulting.
Minimum five years of management experience in an Emergency Department; Directorial experience preferred.

Education Requirements:
Master’s degree in Nursing, healthcare administration, or business administration preferred, bachelor’s degree required.
Active Registered Nursing License, required.
Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
Project Consultant - Clinical Operations - RN

Qualifications:
Ten years or more of experience within a progressive healthcare provider organization and/or in consulting.
Minimum five years of management experience; Directorial experience preferred.

Education Requirements:
Master’s degree in Nursing, healthcare administration, or business administration Preferred, bachelor’s degree required.
Active Registered Nursing License required.
Project Consultant - Ops Financial/ Productivity (non-clinical)

Qualifications:
Ten years or more of experience within a progressive healthcare provider organization and/or in consulting.
Minimum five years of management experience in an ancillary department (laboratory testing, radiology, supply chain, diagnostic imaging, etc.); Directorial experience preferred.

Education Requirements:
Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public policy, public health, or business administration preferred, bachelor’s degree required.
Any related license or Certification preferred.
Ambulatory/Practice Management

Qualifications:
Ten years or more of experience within a progressive healthcare provider organization and/or in consulting.
Minimum five years of management experience in ambulatory care (ambulatory care clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care centers, etc.); Directorial experience preferred.
Experience in Physician Practice Management including single specialty and multispecialty.

Education Requirements:
Master’s degree in related areas preferred, bachelor’s degree required.
Any related license or Certification, e.g. Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM) and Ambulatory Care Nurse Certification (ACNC), preferred.
