A 4-year degree in Business Administration, Construction, Training & Development or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and experience and knowledge of company processes and systems.

Experience: 3+ years of training experience, which includes creating and delivering construction, safety, process or regulatory training; or equivalent combination of training and/or construction experience.

Facilitates various training sessions for field personnel to build skills, create a safe environment and increase productivity. Trains and mentors other employees who provide training to enhance their training abilities. Acts as a liaison between corporate office and job sites for learning and development needs.

Essential Job Functions

Facilitates active training sessions (e.g. 3-Week Look Ahead, Quantity Tracking, safety, Train the Trainer, Supervisory Training, etc.) at construction site locations nationwide to build high performing teams focused on a safe, quality and productive work environment.

Evaluates training content and methods to ensure they are accurate, relevant and effective. Works with leadership, subject matter experts, training participants and vendors to update training programs as needed to shape future training sessions that can increase safety, quality and productivity.

Consults with corporate department employees to ensure that all training material is up-to-date; and the tracking of training is being reported appropriately to sites.

Determines the best training technique appropriate for adult learning of necessary materials. Ensures the right conditions are in place with active learning and application that engages employees and teams.

Evaluates training results to ensure knowledge transfer occurs and is applied to daily work.

Conducts Train the Trainer sessions as needed to build the skills of other employees who are facilitating training at jobsites whose primary role is not training. Mentors and coaches trainers to enhance their training skills to increase their effectiveness.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to facilitate training sessions with strong and effective presentation skills.

Knowledge of adult learning theories and the ability to apply these principles.

Ability to relate to a wide variety of learning and personality styles.

Effective oral, presentational and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently.

Demonstrate a clear understanding of business processes.

Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). (Any training software/editing skills needed?)

Possess strong decision making, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

Extensive travel required.

Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.
