Job Description Details
The Merchandise Lead Analyst is a well-rounded, high-potential individual that is naturally curious and driven to define and solve problems. This role will mine data, analyze results and drive continuous improvement across the Merchandising organization.
Ideal candidate will have cross-functional experience.
Expertise in data mining, analytics and problem solving.
Thrives in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
Ability to autonomously manage multiple projects and deadlines.
What You'll do:
Data analysis – Take complex datasets and transform into results that highlight business opportunities.
Problem solving – When given report results or data that seems inconsistent, work back to the beginning of the value stream to identify all causal errors or gaps.
Data mining – use SQL or Tableau to extract appropriate data and aggregate in relevant ways.
Work with Data Science & Machine Learning teams to continue to optimize our product offering on site.
Be a business partner to Tech and Merchandising to identify bugs, propose fixes, build business cases for prioritization and handle ad-hoc requests from both organizations.
Identify, model, and evaluate opportunities to generate incremental revenue and profit.
Assist in presenting insights to Senior Management both in meeting settings and via email.
4-6 years experience in analytics, consulting, investment banking or similar business role.
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, engineering or equivalent.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding attention to detail and drive to deliver results.
Strong SQL/Big Query experience desired (or ability to master quickly).
Comfortable dealing with large sets of data.
Strong written and verbal communication ability.
Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
