Quality Control Manager

The role of Manufacturing/Quality Tester is an important one in ABB’s production facilities. You will perform testing and checking activities during the manufacturing process. In this role you will perform routine electrical tests and checks of the products by following procedures and instructions specified in manuals and test scripts. You could be exposed to electromagnetic fields. You will be required to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds. You will work with voltage up to 100,000 volts and current up to 60,000 amps.

Executing the assigned work according to specified workflows and in accordance with processes and safety guidelines
- Physical pre-testing activities for newly developed products to ensure the quality of the product or manufacturing processes.

Performing all factory acceptance testing checks as assigned to meet production goals while focusing on Quality.
- Conducting shop floor operations in compliance with health and safety guidelines, and reporting any non-compliance

Process certified test reports upon successful completion of testing.

Cross training will be expected and required.

Potential of some weekday and weekend OT

Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with electrical testing equipment performing tests like overvoltage, dielectrics, accuracy, PD, HLIC, and LIC is preferred.

Knowledge of smart metering devices and power supplies

Ability to read basic production documents (I.e., work instructions, drawings), understand basic math skills and read measurement tools.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and ATS preferred.

A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.

Knowledge of basic electricity and circuits is preferred.

Ability and willingness to climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.
