The “Revenue Cycle Manager” serves as the process owner for the functions of their department. They are an active participant in the Core Leadership Team (CLT) and are responsible for process improvement, execution of goals, and providing service excellence to our clients, patients, and teammates. Specifically, you will lead and manage a team of SCA teammates covering the various functions of revenue cycle including accounts receivable, heath insurance collections, medical billing, payment posting, cash applications, and insurance verification among other areas.

Essential Functions:
Work on-site at SCA’s centralized revenue cycle office / RCO in Carmel, IN
Responsible for leading team to reach departmental goals and metrics
Manage two direct reports/team leads that oversee a total staff of 25-30 on-site teammates in revenue cycle functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash applications, and insurance verifications
Work closely with department leads to ensure metrics and quality standards are being met
Review, analyzes and interprets financial data to monitor progress toward established goals, identifies deterrents to success and implements improvements as necessary to enhance efficiencies and results
Responsible for revenue cycle activities for multiple sites/clinics in multi-state region that funnel through our regional business office in Carmel, IN
Work closely with and builds relationships various stakeholders including senior level executive management, clinic administrators. Stakeholders may be located on-site or off-site.
Present and explain data, numbers, and quantitative information to support process improvements
Communicate business updates frequently with teammates, management , and directors in-person, over the phone, and in writing
Partner with human resources on teammate performance issues, coaching, and/or terminations
Review productivity and accuracy, develop improvement plans and seek support from leadership
Serve as the subject matter expert for clients and teammates
Reports directly to Sr. Revenue Cycle Director

Minimum two years of management experience within the revenue cycle functions in the healthcare, medical, or ambulatory surgery center industry
Understanding of the various roles, responsibilities, and technical aspects of the entire revenue cycle, specifically in the healthcare, medical, or ambulatory surgery center industry
Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance billing
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Demonstrate strong communication skills, verbal and written
High School diploma or GED
Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in business, healthcare, or related field preferred, not required
5+ years of experience of management within revenue cycle functions in the healthcare, medical, or ambulatory surgery center industry
Prior experience-specifically revenue cycle activities for ambulatory surgery centers
Prior experience with multiple client sites in different physical locations
Demonstrate strong people management skills
Proven track record of reaching department/organization goals and metrics
Comfortable with oral presentations to various stakeholders including teammates, facility administrations, large groups, and senior level directors
