Under the general supervision of the Manager-IT Operations, provides oversight and leadership of operated data center facilities, insures the safety and physical integrity of multiple data centers and critical infrastructure facility environments including, but not limited to, all equipment, staff and clients. Assists in managing the IT Operations teams in the execution of information technology production operations, and support of the Wellspan Data Center(s) at the WOC and IROB. Supports the Wellspan Health IT Disaster Recovery programs and works directly with Technology Services, Customer Service, Network Services, Office of Production Quality, Facilities and vendor partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Establishes, implements, and sustains facilities systems management, disaster recovery and compliance processes for the Information Technology Data Centers and critical space including, but not exclusive to, maintaining up-to-date operation and support procedures, electrical and mechanical drawings and maintenance records for cooling, electrical, fire protection, physical space, physical security, monitoring and maintenance of Data Center support systems, electrical and mechanical equipment.
2 Responsible for information technology facilities roadmap and plan for each functional area including conducting weekly inspections.
3 Establishes control standards, policies and procedures. Identifies and documents potential problems, hazards and corrective actions to sustain high availability of IT services and safety.
4 Coordinates and facilitates quality assurance activities across projects with project managers, provides guidance and verifies solution effectiveness.
5 Coordinates and facilitates IT equipment physical installations, their physical operational environment and decommissions at the data centers facilities in conjunction with technical teams.
6 Performs required safety inspection checklists and regular preventive maintenance. Plans, coordinates and oversees preventive maintenance following best practice to ensure high availability.
7 Makes recommendations and directs improvements. Evaluates alternative solutions for value and efficiency.
8 Completes risk identification action form, documenting non-compliance and assist in resolution.
9 Reviews all results of actions during regular management review meetings.
10 Responsible for IT Disaster Recovery program, processes and procedures as it refers to data center facilities.
11 Ensures staff is properly trained on all fire protection, electrical, mechanical, physical security and safety equipment and procedures.
12 Develops and manages Operational Level Agreements with other IS and facility entities.
13 Develops training plans/drills/documentation for staff members.
14 Participates in the development of technical solutions in conjunction with the Operations Manager and staff.
15 Assists as liaison with customers regarding Incident Response Team calls and operations technical issues that require escalation.
16 Keeps abreast of new technologies/automation and software packages for Operations efficiency.
17 Assists with the management of production operations and project timelines.
18 Provides strategic thinking and collaboration in concert with the Director of Technology and Manager of Operations.
19 Works closely with the Supervisor-Data Center Operations, Technical Managers and vendor partners as directed.
20 Provides technical leadership on complex projects, maintains relationships with strategic vendor partners for Operations and Data Center Facility activities.
21 Possesses a high level of project management knowledge including industry standards as ITIL and ISO.

Min Field Of Expertise
Engineering or Computer Science; experience working in a large Data Center Facility, Midrange and Enterprise Network Environments
Proven experience with physical planning for Data Center hardware
Project management and leadership experience
Knowledge and skill with pc hardware, software and Microsoft Suite
Possesses a high level of project management knowledge including industry standards as ITIL and ISOSome audit skills a plus
